I have always wanted to sew.  Recently I have been given my Grandmothers high quality quilting scraps.  My Grandma is an incredible artist.  She is 94 and cranking out quilts for all of her Great Grandchildren.  She made my school clothes when I was little and my prom dress.  This is a gift I have forever wanted to learn.  My grandfather use to make toys out of her wooden thimbles. My Grandfather made a wooden loom to weave the scraps. Nobody has ever been able to figure it out.  It took up a good part of their garage.  These quilts are the first of mine.  I made them from my
Grandmother's fabric.  I am working toward learning all I can in the art of sewing.  I want to pass it down to my daughter.  It feels so wonderful to start something and to finish it.  I really love when the item makes someone happy or gives them comfort.
